I like to perv on a celebrity manicure as much as the next guy. Often times the paparazzi just aren’t focusing on a starlet’s nails but when it comes to big-ass award shows, where celebrities – with access to the top stylists – are forced to stand in one spot and pose in front of a wall of crazy zooming lenses, the rest of us can actually get a high-def look at their hands. LET THE PERVING COMMENCE! All pictures were snagged off the BellaSugar site. I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention the huge NUDE trend going on with the nails. It might not be the most exciting option but when you take a step back and look at the ensemble it really is quite chic.

I must say, while the fasion in this Karla Spectic lookbook has that casual-chic appeal, what really drew me to these shots is the model’s thick eyeliner and easy hair combo.

I haven’t been able to get Rooney Mara’s make-up from the Golden Globes off my mind. I’ve been known to get pretty obsessive about such things so I’ve decided to gather as many angles I could and share them here. Three things are evident to my self-trained eye. The first is that a piece of tape must have been used to get that super sharp outside edge. Second, dark shadow was kept off of the centre of the eyelid to acheive that elongated look and lastly, a three-quarter-lash (probably a full lash trimmed by the MUA) was used to get that fullness on the outside. I’m just itching to give this a try myself. On to the angles!
